Even with Asteri's AI guiding him, synx are not exactly social creatures; nor are they particularly well-received. The more humanized side of him feels bad being left out, but his more natural organic side just feels instinctually uncomfortable at the thought of interacting with others in the first place. The vulnerability of leaving himself open like that goes against everything his biology tells him, and the usual reactions to his presence don't exactly help matters, either...

I'm sure the synx pal shall occasionally end up having a brave/careless/etc soul try and socialize with them, though the space parasite being at ends with themselves on the other hand... sadly something they'll likely will have to just deal with-
