Korina and I parked our truck four blocks away from this gang leader's hold-up, so we could keep to a special charade I had in mind.
"You are pulling a big risk with this stuff." Korina said, "You know what's at steak here."
"I do." I said, "Even with everything I set up. Are you ready?"
She nodded, then turned away from me. I tied her hands with a zip tie, and then cut the plastic a little bit so she could break free. Then we walked toward the the gang's main place. Things seemed to be in place. Jerry's food truck was across the street from it, and I could hear the a really loud vehicle near by. I thought it was just a dump truck or a semi, but then I saw part of a large scooper arm behind the buildings. Her and I walked over, I held her arms behind her back as we got closer to the guy out front.
He looked my way, then saw the woman, "The heck is this about?"
"Heard you had an issue with the neighborhood watch." I said, "Didn't you put a bounty on the leader?"
The goons eyes went wide and looked at her, "Inside quick." he said, and ran inside,
"So far so good." we muttered to one another, and then I forced Korina inside
"...So the woman behind our troubles was a Meyong." a man said as we walked in. "That explains everything."
