Ah, yes, the good ole' "stand on a mountain over a valley and look majestically into the sky" gig... cliche as it may be, I can't lie and say I don't enjoy these sort of portraits, on the contrary. Gryphons are too majestic to really be able to restrain ourselves from all epic posing.
That's Hoskins Valley down there, where my father owned his bookshop and I went to school and am still working down there. The only reason it's noticeable on a map at all is that it's a college town. Otherwise it's just another small mountain valley town in Northern California.
An artist who goes by HammyWammy did this for me, can't say he has an account here but he doesn't have it uploaded anywhere else anymore, either. *hrmph*

I think my favourite thing about the image is the fact that the valley is full of those glowing city buildings, it makes it much more interesting than the majority of these "stand on a mountain over a valley and look majestically into the sky" pictures in my opinion. The colour scheme is just gorgeous.
