I'm not sure if I ever explained this anywhere, but I incorporated a bit of blush into his design in general because I seem to have kinda reddish cheeks in real life--not sure if that's a side effect of being a ginger kid and having kinda light skin, or if it's a blood pressure thing, or some combination of the two.
