Vietnam War Quick Fact:
The Huey was originally designed to replace the H-13s and H-5s used in the Korean war as a medevac chopper. Not only did it perform its role extremely well, it also birthed the creation of aerial assault helicopters. A quick fact about that quick fact is they barely even tested to see if it was feasible in less than 2 years, maybe even 1, they went from concept to war gaming to implementing it in the field.
