✨✨✨
At long last, it is complete! This whole piece started because during September and October, I witnessed half a dozen instances of Sunshowers (when the sun is out but it’s raining), and I’d read about how the term in Japanese was “kitsune no yomeiri”, or fox’s wedding. Those foxes do so love to be tricky!
✨🌦✨
My wife and I just so happen to have a married tengu and kitsune/inari couple, so I thought I’d imagine how their wedding procession looked. Akio and Yokuto certainly look regal and splendid in their traditional garb!
✨❤️✨🤍✨
There’s a few other yōkai who’ve joined in. My favorite (besides Tengu of course), is the Kamaitachi, (sickle weasel). He’s the guy in the yukata that’s too big for him 🤣 Also making appearances is a very wise Kitsune (fox with nine tails), a burly Tanuki (raccoon-dog), a sly looking Bakeneko (vampire cat), an awkwardly shy Kappa (water imp), and a goofy Oni (ogre) just because! They’d better watch out if they weren’t invited; Kitsune tend to hold grudges about that sort of thing.
