Random bust doodles compilation feat Leomane
Was feeling a bit off this week but got a nice mixed bag of head shots doodled... in fact thinking back I think I got more done than expected XD So here's an assortment of them.
Most were all made up using one base gesture and then I did different heads on them ( specifically the larger ones were all made with one base and the lower sketchier ones were all a same base )
Anyway while viewing and helping my bestest Danji with some of his sketchings ( he's doing amazing at his practice! ) I totally saw one of his gestures / head sketches he did and I saw something in it and I HAD to take a crack at it and that ended up being the one you see top right there, he has a nice snake vibe to it and that lips on the side mmmm not only that the head shape Danji did looked amazing! So credit to him there
On the top right is a random strong reptile head mostly to practice some of the face lines and shape and well the eyes too, he looks not to bad at all might do something with him....
And then heh, and then Leomane showed right on up >:D using the base head I did a few attempts of the maned dragonid the one center left was a bit odd with the smirk but the one center right! DAYUMN I am liking it and both DO show off the new updates / recent changes I'm putting on him. But I feel I'm really getting the hang of how i want Leo to look and what is going on with the updates
The lower set were all super quickies, again using one base gesture head I just let my hand wander and these shook out
From left to right we got my other important 'sona Arlo the geckodroid, again Leo showed up in the centre, and far left was a super rough one of Domm and his long neck ( still love his head shape ;D )

Ohhhh, MAN! I can see your confidence and mojo returning almost in real time, here! The sketches are so much cleaner amd more defined, the lines all flow together so well! Heck, even the super quick ones look really nice, for how fast they were done. Your personal style's really showing through, here, everything looks very round and solid, almost like claymation in a way. It's really fun to look at!
You're making a hell of a comeback, man, glad to see it unfold!
Also, the ponytail's a cute look, makes me think Guybrush Threepwood a bit.

Yeah, it's been a lot of fun to watch happen. ^,=,^ And yeah, that's the best description I can come up with; you can see the places where the linework is "sculpted", lines kind of pinching and folding just so, and it actually works pretty well.
Definitely! In a way, it actually feels like something you might've seen on Nickelodeon back in the 90's (actually, is Nickelodeon even a thing over there at all?), airing somewhere between episodes of Ren & Stimpy and Rugrats. I can't quite equate it with any one particular art style, but in a way, it's like you took those influences, and honed in on and refined the parts most people don't really realize are there. It takes a different, really interesting direction compared you see in most furry art (which often looks more like Don Bluth, Disney Renaissance, or something from an anime), and even a lot of cartoon art in general.
Aww, my heart! ^,=,^ I'm glad to help, man! And yeah, always keep practicing and learning, no matter what!
Hehe, and you do have a lizard pirate costume, after all. I'd say it fits! XD
