This is a concept sketch for the home of a character of mine, Anona.

I have no digital drawings of Anona yet to upload, but I guess now I have to make a point to draw her to show you. She's a creature that my friend and I created called a Spore Maiden-- Basically, Spore Maidens are an all-female race of 'mushroom' ladies that steal human children. They are born of the spirit of a mother who has lost her children and never overcame her grief. Her spirit would linger on the earth upon her death and eventually take root in some kind of fungi, which would then take on the form of a Spore Maiden. Also sometimes called "Marsh Mothers", the creatures are humanoid and bear a very strong resemblance to their former human selves.

Almost as a form of sick coping, they will steal human children and raise them as their own. They steal from villages, from cities... Right from your side, if they can. They take the child back into the forests with them, where they will feed them a highly addictive fungi that the Spore Maidens themselves grow. The fungi basically fucks up the child's brain and quite literally mutates their genetic makeup and, over a very short time, turns them into what could be considered a very basic and primitive form of the Spore Maiden herself.

There's more to it than that, but I feel like I'm boring you.
