Why take your head off of your neck and then carry it around resting on your shoulders? Because your shoulders are a great place to hold things, that's why.

The notion here is one that popped into my mind ages ago and I've wanted to draw it, and somehow casting one of the Goons of Thimble Theatre/Popeye made it drawable. Next I'll try doing this with actual characters.

Goons by the way are fun to draw and I recommend it for those who need a good subject.

I changed the canvas size for this picture, from 'screen size' which has been my default all along to '8.5 x 11' because I was curious how it would affect the way the picture looked. I probably need to draw the same thing in two different resolutions to actually tell a difference.
