
Since I am doing these for Oblivion, I figured I might as well throw a few more polygons after 'em.
So I've smoothed up the blade, put more detail into the pommel (can opener much?), stretched the hilt for better proportions and better ability to look nice in-game so the characters can grab 'em better.
Since people have been asking about textures, I've shown Ionis' texture work on the left. It doesn't fit the edited model well enough to show here. It's mostly made by chopping Bethesda's own textures into tiny pieces and making something new, as I understand it :P oh and it is normal mapped in-game.
I figured out I can export the .nifs directly if I upgraded to 3dsmax 2011 (someone made a .nif plugin) but I'm still having lots of technical difficulties, I gotta say though it's almost better than having to use Blender again hahaha
