about 59 seconds, on 175% zoom
what a cheeky lad!
´looking right up into the camera like that—
—this argentille bloake
(with his coat looking so realistic)
bobbie-j!
how would you describe the scents that are flowing at the path which argy walks?
(i'm sure all the flora, and perhaps some of the fauna, gotta be giving off some mad aromas)
or are all these original creations not native to terrestria?
(in which case, then, i'm down with some hearing "earthen equivalents")
that is of course if you're feeling up for that sort of exercise
eh?

Only a minute!? Jinkies.
I imagine this woodland path would smell earthy with strong notes akin to what we might identify as a bouquet of lilac, lavender, and jasmine. Perhaps, as you dare forth into the strange land, you might catch the faintest hints of something like citrus here, sandal wood over there, a lovely marriage of mint and rose from a nearby grove, a cozy clearing that smells of coconut and you can practically taste honey on the air. You might think you are imagining things when you scent whimsies of almond and vanilla bean on a capricious breeze but you are not.
I have a whole folder concerning flora over on my DA, though, I am in the process of rewriting all the information about it. https://www.deviantart.com/bjpentec.....75081931/flora

(y'er welcome
)
yeah
´only a minute
to be fair: it does stand to reason, had your painting spanned a larger size, this latest exercise would've taken me the expected 3 - 5 minutes to finish
i must note, i am in the process of training myself to not be a "mister nice guy" anymore — that i will try to force me to employ "an alternative method" for frogé hunting; i feel pretty confident i lose a lot of time ..... needlessly
(why does that sound much more competitive than i am intending?
{this is supposed to be fuckin' fun!
})
only a minute.
i'm a little shocked about it m'selfº
your flora compendium is going to make me cry
you know that lady?
hofuuuuuud.
this forest sounds like some place i'd simply kill to explore
a christmas miracle considering, under ordinary circumstances, i am not-so-very fond of hikin' through nature trails!
º just as i am shocked about how i'd managed to flip the positions of "some" and "hearing" in my original passage; like, i caught it about an hour or so after i published the comment — but, i know you knew what i meant
at this point, i'm simply resigning myself to the reality i've some form or sort of neurologic pathology happening: for which, likely, there is nothing i can do
why fight it?

I hate it when my grammatical and syntactical mistakes are effectively immortalized but I accept it as a part of e-life. X3
If I had all the time in the world, I would love to build my verse and spend all my time populating it with all the creatures, peoples, and flora I've dreamed up. Alas...

imagine if we could ..... fly off somewhere and build out our dreams until our heart is content
´kinda makes me wish our brains weren't so complex — our very own imaginations tease us with concepts that, by definition, are impossible to ever realize
even if there is a heaven itself, no one of us go off on our own, from there, to do as we please like that; and that's with accounting for the ostensive, reasonable possibility Space is infinite
(what is to be done with all the souls who never had the chance to develop and, thus, to conceptualize their own ideas of "utopia"?
might they get reïncarnated until they can?
{´some more philosophical crap i ponder, bobbie-j
})
When I was younger, I used to believe (really more hope than believe) that someday, we would be heading towards a transhumanist utopia where we could enjoy effective immortality and spend our lives exploring the cosmos and setting up space colonies, genetically altering plantlife to terraform other worlds for us and WOW was I fuckin naive. XD We can't even get past "bigotry is bad, folks" and we're set to fuck up the almost perfect starter planet nature gifted us.... how the fuck are we gonna make it five goddamned feet into space without imploding?
But yes, I am chronically tormented by dreams that, by their very nature, are impossible or deeply improbable. It's a constant background hum of my life.
I don't know if you read any of the text under the Cachobe Master Doc I linked you to previously but to summarize, I love the idea that we could genetically alter plantlife to better suit our needs- I mean for more than just pest-resistant tomatoes and fruit with longer shelf lives. I mean plants that could absorb silicate minerals and metals and express them in their bark, leaves, flowers, and such. I mean fruit that could be engineered to produce spider silk, animal proteins, shelf-ready textiles, and various other materials like glue and oil.
No idea if any of that is actually possible but it's fun to think about.

because (and i hope i can keep this brief):
• to be naïve towards envisioning a utopia in which, more\less, no one hurts the other, is the sign of a "good soul"
• yet, i've also made the case, quintessentially, there are no "bad souls" but rather "[bad] brains" — i.e., even the monstrous of individuals can't be faulted for their deeds, since surely someone not under the influence of mental dysfunction wouldn't choose evil
i'd still rather be thought of as "naïve" than be thought of someone who, under otherwise "ordinary" circumstances, wishes to promulgate destruction
• we can't even get past "do no [intentional] harm" (and, i suppose, {if i am to go by my knowledge of the state of our collective gene pool}, we might never be able to correct our course to a better path)
• if you and i both are being real bobbie-j: if changes aren't made and enforced right now (the industrialized portions of) our planet maybe has another 100 - 150 years before they're fucked
if you and i both are being real: we know the chances of "change" are like 1 in 1 trillion
the corporate overlords have basically won the war
for all we know, they're probably the ones manufacturing this "Great Resignation" narrative in an attempt to implant false hopes
• i suppose we were granted the, uh, "gift" of imagination for a reason
old markie-zuck has his own aspirations of realizing his visions for actualizing extended reality — in a fucked up, dystopian way, he's "just like us"
🤮
i feel like, ever since i've had my brush with presumed covid, my dreams have been.. ..changing, some
i have neither flown nor levitated in a long while; but, on those random, rare occasions when my brain does feel like going there, i've almost never awaken myself as soon as i am about to "establish consummation"
yeah
my own brain was my worst tease
and i hated it
• i proclaim it here in official writing: should we attempt to colonize other planets, just to perpetuate the same bullshit we've perpetrated here on terrestria, i fully authorize any beings of other "advanced" planets from other universes to come and vaporize everyone and every human, including those on earth itself
• link me the cachobe master doc again BJP?
i seem to recall.. ..this mighta been brought up only a few months ago when i was marveling over your worldbuilding?
of course these things are possible
they're-all possible. . . . .but, i don't reckon, shall ever ready for "mass production" here on earth
of course, that favourite paradox of all time presents itself to us: theoretically, anything our imaginations envision should be possible to bring forth into reality...
...somewhere
