When you do these commissions, are they digital...as in, you send the customer the computer file, or are they pieces that you mail out on paper? If they are digital, what kind of program does the customer need to see/print out the art?

The final product is digital. It won't be letter-sized. More like a fourth of that. All you'd need is a printer. You could theoretically print the file out of firefox or some other browser, though any art program would probably be better.
