Very nice. You should use markers more often. The little open spot in the canopy really works too, your eye is drawn immediately to the small roo.

This is some really good stuff, seriously. The colours are beautiful and the composition is great too, like how the younger character has an aura of light around him. It's cute, soft and really nice on the eye; bloody love it XP. Also, I'm always wary about making comments like this because I keep thinking I'm coming across as creepy or something XP. Bah, anyway, I love the lineart too and I'll totally be using this as a reference in future to help me draw trees, rocks and grass, because I'm complete shit at drawing them XP.
