Song Commission Rules
My current rate starts at $75 for a song with style/genre of your choosing.
(Pricing will vary depending on size, time, etc of the commission)
You get an MP3 or WAV file of the song. I give you personal-use licensing of the song, but I retain the copyright/main ownership so I can post/release it on my soundcloud and spotify if I so choose, but you have no fear of the song ever being "taken" from you ever. This means you can use it or share it however you want without fear of copyright strikes or take downs so long as I am credited clearly. If you want to use it for commercial use (Example: commercials or using it in video games, etc.) then we can discuss at a later date if need be.
What I would need to begin the process is a description of the character, reference pictures of said character, what the world/time they live in, and some reference pieces of music of the style/sound you are looking for. Please be as descriptive and detailed as possible, it can only help!
These commissions are for original creations in my style/sound. I will create something inspired by the references provided. I am not here to copy other music or perfectly emulate the styles of other artists/songs. Please do not ask for covers or expect a commission to recreate any certain style indepth. I will reject commission requests I feel are against copyright laws.
I retain the right to cancel a commissions at any time, for any reason. If any payment was provided upfront, in full or as a deposit, it will be returned in full as a result of any cancelation.
During the process I will send clips and updates of the track to make sure I am on the right track and that its sounding good to you. Please note that these are not highly-specific commissions, but "artistic freedom" so are limited to one "second pass" with tweeks
beyond that, additional charges may apply. However if you are simply NOT satisfied with the piece, you can decline it and it will be resold as a premade piece to someone else.
Any work done in the commission is still owned by me and may be reused/repurposed even if I cancel/reject the commission at any point. You do not have any ownership/Licensing over anything until the commission is paid for in full, at which point I will inform you what you are legally allowed to do per what licensing deal/ownership deal you've discussed with me.
Turnover time varies depending on my schedule. Week days are rough as I have a full-time job and kids. I usually do most of the work on the weekends. So roughly 1 week to 2 weeks max for turnover.
Payment wise, PayPal is usually the best way. I will send a Invoice to your email through paypal. I usually don't require payment till the end once you've heard the final product and you are satisfied. After payment is received I send over the final files and post to my soundcloud/FA/Spotify so you can share/link etc. You can pay a deposit or before hand if desired. Refunds will only be issued if the commission is rejected or canceled. Once the files have been sent to you, refunds will NOT be given.
Art for the "album art" for soundcloud/Spotify I can create myself or I can use whatever you'd like and I will credit appropriately as well in the track description where it is posted.
