rabbi-tom, his son and myself went to the range to "excercise the dogs" at deerfield.

Here I am with the Springfield Armory M1A equiped with the SOCOM rail system, cheeck piece, Harris bipod and a 4-14x56 scope making a 6" steel target dance. Great stress reliever.

That .308 can get expensive. Do you reload your own ammo? Nice rifle!!

Yes it can get expensive. I tend to use the surplus for plinking but do use the quality stuff (Blackhills Ammo...)for the serious shooting. The house doesn't have the space for reloading but I am working on that.

Well if you are only going to load a few at a time a lee loader is good, tiny, not much space needed but be ready to spend TIME doing it. I myself am looking into getting reloading equipment, the prices of bullets in my area of the last 2 years has doubled easily on most.

Yes. At the time I purchased it, the rail system wasn't around. Recently when I saw the M1A with the system, I asked and they said they could install the system on mine. You know what happened next.

It's Springfield Armory. I kid you not. When I went to get the rails they said they no longer do scopes (or had them made by somebody else) Guess there was better glass out there and would be useless competing agains theme.
