I have to say, this week has been fun poking around in my computer through old files trying to find something good to post to this site... and it looks like I'm running out, finally. This here little ditty is the final battle with Bowser in his clown copter! This, and most every other piece of music you'll find by me has gone through the Garage Band program. It's a good program, but I'm finding a lot of limitations now... and my roommate's mac laptop sucks total ass. I figured out the problem today... It's overheating. My temporary solution: Sit it ontop a ziplock filled with ice. Runs like a charm until it all melts! What a pain... I've been working off and on for some time on this one LONG song, and am almost done with it... I'll post it, if people have the patience to sit through it!

Ah, that's a relief! You know, no matter how good and clear it sounds in Garage Band, it sounds differrent once exported to MP3, and then even testing it on differrent stereos and all, I can never get the levels right. I'm a... a little deaf in one ear, and can't balance tracks and all well.... it's my only weakness... aside bullets... ;)
Damn I can't give you advice on overheating with a laptop....
OUH WAIT! I GOT IT! They sell this fan thing you place your laptop on. It was orginally made so you didn't burn a hole one whatever you place your laptop, but of course it cools the laptop as well. that should work.
Nice job on this, and I feel yah with your ears. My left ear can hear a tv humming from a mile away, while my right ear can barely hear people on the phone.

Oh yeah, I know about those, but I think one of the cooling fans inside the laptop either burned out, or something's funky with whatever controls the fan. If I'm not mistaken, a few models of macs were being recalled due to some problems like this. Anyway, it's my roommate's problem, not mine and my gigantic dinosaur of a PC. ;)
And dude, I totally know how you feel about the hearing. I can hear the TV whine all the time, but can't hear for squat in crouded places and phones and all. Funny thing, when my friends yell at me across campus or whatever, the have to do it in a high pitched voice for me to hear them! For me, though, It's my left ear that sucks. Heh... Old firework accident back when I was a little kid... Bottle rocket flew straight into it, and screwed everything up. I'm pretty much lucky to have what I have. ;)

Atleast you have a nice story to yours. I just developed mine over time or something. I didn't even do anything that should have harmed it, like loud music or what not. x.X
I think playing games helps though. A study already showed that playing First Person Shooters improves your eyesight... I'm sure games can improve your hearing as well.
We need to work together so your right ear and my left ear can combine to make the ULTIMATE normal hearing!! ...and then our bad ones can form the ultimate.. dog whistle hearing.. or something...
