An Entobian is a strange creature, an insectoid and humanoid being living in a deep jungle where their primal river was contaminated by magical residue, breaking their hivemind and turning them into sentient, individualist creatures. These creatures tend to value their individuality highly, and have a thirst for adventure, exploration and discovery. While they are young, they are found in a larval form. Without any sex as of yet, they will need to grow up and figure what they want to be, until they finally eat a feast and turn into their desired evolution. These are plentiful, and an entobian larva can turn into a butterfly or moth like being, as well as beetle or fly. All these evolutions means they become male, and must seek a female to reproduce.

However, an entobian that chooses to grow into a female will shift drastically in appearance compared to their more traditional evolution. They will shift and grow nearly twice their size, and will grow a combination of traits from their desired evolution, as well as personalized traits of their choosing from both.

CHARACTER LORE BELOW:

Kraut was a rather unassuming but very charismatic archeologist at first. While he was known for feats of danger and is strong belief in Desna, the goddess of luck, he couldn't evolve early in his adventures due to an ongoing hobgoblin invasion. Thankfully, his party was eventually able to rest at an inn, and he finally had the time to become Kyra, a mix of Moth and Butterfly that better exemplifies his love for Desna and how he wanted to be perceived.

Kyra, now distinctly female, had to do quite some explaining to her party, but they've returned to business fast enough. There's no time to rest for heroes.
