Backstory: On the other side of Strange World, there is Paradise...well not literal Paradise but the continent known as Paradise. The counterpart Nirvana, Paradise is the largest landmass on Strange World with many nations sitting on it. The one we're interested in specifically is the nation of mages, Everlast.

Everlast is a hotbed for all of the world's magical knowledge on Paradise. Everlast is the home of many mage families and magical colleges. It is a land where magical innovation and shared knowledge among the masses are favored above all else. An ideal that is shared by every...except for one very odd mage, the current heir to the Hexe Family, and the oddity of a small village in Everlast called "Hexelia".

Kazugan Hexe, the mage no one truly knows of...which is probably for the better. This little cat isn't an heir to an old magical family or a true master of his craft, he is simply a familiar that pulled a fast on his former Witch master, Nier Hexe, the true heir to the Hexe Family.

Kazugan is...something special. Literally, in fact, he's actually a special species of intelligent creature on Strange World known as a Demi, normal animals that have been awakened by some magical means, be it natural or artificial. Demi aren't ever born but made and in Kazugan's case, he made himself with the magic he stole from his former master.

Kazugan is just a big ball of issues, a cat given so much power and ego that he's dedicated himself to becoming one of the most powerful mages in the world. His specializations currently are the alteration of physical bodies (typically into animalistic forms of some kind and some more unique variations) and the summoning of monstrous creatures from around the world to study and experiment with.

Kaz is also kind of just a little hornball looking for his next pleasing adventure. He lives for his own joy and pleasure and won't sacrifice any of his values just because others tell him to get off his ridiculously high horse. He wishes to simply live his own life to the fullest and to have the praise and love of others around him.

Really, if you're ever in the southwestern seaboard of Everlast and see something absurdly strange, 9 times out of 10, its another experiment from the secretive egomaniacal magicat, Kazugan "Pawpy" Hexe.
