I had my first pumpkin+potatoes soup last week! I used to dislike pumpkins but my tastes changes quite often...

Same here! I love pumpkin ANYTHING where I used to hate it. I often use it for sauce thickener (since I don't eat grain), and I make a famous "Samhain Soup" with pumpkin, chicken and fall vegetables and heavy cream that is oh so satisfying on cold nights and very filling.

Unfortunately, the US has been having severe problems with our pumpkin crops due to weather issues all over the country, so we've been in shortage for two years.
