And this was me when I was that age: quiet, hide my eyes and always studying people.
Kinda of glad I got out of that habit.
Back to topic, Ekeni looks like a character that, for now is a seed of unknown, will flourish into a beautiful rose (in character growth that is).
I bet she has cute eyes under all that hair.

At the risk of spoiling things, we may never see her eyes. I deliberately chose the covered eyes bit as a challenge to myself. So much is conveyed by a character's eyes that I wanted to see if I could get a character's emotions across using everything BUT the eyes.
I should also point out that, at this time, we have no plans to ever have her actually say anything. It's not that she doesn't talk--she just never happens to have anything to say when the "camera" is on. ^__^
