I got my new markers in! Woot!
I had a lot of sketched stuff prepared for this day, but in the end I didn't like most of it. Changing my style around again. I hope you guys like this, because I'm rather happy with this one. ^^
Now I've got to, you know, redraw all of my new characters. And I hadn't even finished drawing all of them in the first place yet...
Huh... I just managed to complain about a good thing. Well there you go.

As others seem to have mentioned, gray-blacks. My scanner always makes my ink work really gray and pixel-y as well, I generally take it into photoshop, duplicate the image layer, set it on multiply and blur it a bit to get some more smoothness back. I don't know if you have the means of doing so, but I find it to be a pretty helpful method.
Otherwise, digging that skull shape.

Hey... that's good advice! I should try that and make my art beautiful once again! Thank you! ^^
Of course... it could just be easier to claim that hideous decoloration and pixelization is my style and then enjoy my procrastination...
Mmm... procrastination.
