how's his demeanor? males can get flighty and aggressive. Rosies are great, we have a female in our bug shows *nods*

He's pretty friendly. He gets spooked if you move him too fast, but he's still easy to handle and not at all aggressive (I have yet to see him rear up).

oh that's good to hear. hopefully he stays that way and you have many good years with him.

I wish. Unfortunately males don't live very long. :< If I get a year out of him I'll be impressed.

I know, the longest our museum had a male stay alive was about three years and it was a desert blonde. *nods* just relaying sentiment.

oooo rose hair :D i have had a few of those and other tarantulas, but these are the cutest and the calmest by far. Such a beauty

As cool as that looks, I could never, ever touch one, let alone allow it to CRAWL on me. xD I was offered a chance at a zoo once to pet a tarantula - they even had stickers to give to people that said "I CONCURRED MY ARACHNOPHOBIA" - needless to say, I was unable to, even with coaxing from his/her handles and my own father, who got the damn sticker, lol. I guess that's the whole "phobia" part of it, though. It's irrational, and even though I find spiders one of the most fascinating critters I am still scared into breathlessness by even small ones. x_x It kinda sucks, really, because that would be SO COOL to do.
