I've always had a special place in my heart for unicorns. Strangely enough, I never considered myself a "unicorn fanatic". I'd fallen in love with arctic wolves, whereas unicorns just sort of lingered around the edges of my attention, just out of sight. But around February 25th of this year, I guess all the stress and the darkness in my life (probably in everyone else's lives as well) finally got to me, and I reached out instantly for something to bring me joy and chase all the doom and gloom away. Suddenly I felt this intense need to read this book I'd found, called "Into the Land of the Unicorns" by Bruce Coville. It brought me back to the magic I felt as a child watching The Last Unicorn, and I had to have more! I read the entire series, and then the "Unicorn Quest" series by Kamilla Benko. It's never enough. I'm suddenly hopelessly addicted to unicorns, those beautiful, magical, elusive creatures!

Anyway, I recently felt inspired to write this lyric... poem... thing, dedicated to unicorns and my love for them.
