Vespeza walking through a city, not paying much attention to the buildings crushed underfoot. Her looming stinger casts a giant shadow on those remaining behind her.
I wanted to have Vespeza's stinger be the main subject of a piece for once, and this drawing marked a few other firsts for me as well. For my first real attempt at a perspective shot, I think the blocky buildings turned out alright. I had a really tough time with the foot though (it's supposed to be in the middle of lifting off the ground). I ended up just drawing random lines until it didn't look terrible. Not fretting about it though, somehow I get the feeling that it wouldn't be too hard to find someone that could draw Vespeza's feet. I also drew directly with the tablet a lot more for this one, usually I trace a sketch I made on paper very closely but in this case I went off the sketch a lot more.
