I have noticed a big change between your first attempt at Roadkill and this version. I would go so far to say that your first drawing could possibly be Roadkill as a teenager/young kid whereas this picture could be an adult Roadkill. The head on this character came out great, and the only thing you would need to tweak a tad is to add a neck. Other than that you have a good start here.
