Something to keep in mind with this story is the fact it alters or modifies certain plot points that happened in the original Archie comic. Similar to how Naugus' entire "falling apart" plot line was ignored, Geoffrey's story was also changed where rather than falling in line with Naugus when he learned about his entire mind control plot, he instead decided to turn against him and fix his mistakes. While still keeping him the flawed character that brought Naugus back and betrayed the kingdom, it still gives him the "I'm just trying to do what feels right" feel instead of flat out turning into a spineless lackey that is virtually beyond salvation. At least it looks like his days of fighting with Princess Sally Acorn and Sonic the Hedgehog are over.
It looks like Max was able to become king again with only a minor complaint and now it's time to learn the fate of Geoffrey. Max seems to have plans for him, that while not pardoning him of his crimes, will be more productive than spending the rest of his life in prison. It doesn't look like Hamlin is going for it though... I wonder what Max is feeling regretful for?
