It's such a touchy subject with people debating whether having brood mares is rape or not, whether they enjoy it or not even...but those kinds of questions can't be answered unless we answer the question of do horses know what sex is and what it does? I think the bigger moral issue is what happens with the foals, usually people breed horses because they want a CERTAIN breed that they are willing to pay many thousands for. But I hate that people do it, simply because there are HUNDREDS of thousands of horses out there that coulden't survive in the wild, and either lack a good home, or have none at all, and they are worth nothing at all. I don't understand why you'd pay for a thousand dollar horse, when in many places, you can get one free (minus the cost of hay etc. yeah yeah yeah shut up) without having to create another horse and contribute to global equine overpopulation.

I would have to agree with you. I find it rape of horses,animal abuse. I'm pretty sure this poor mare dosent want to be tied down and have her self raped by an overly agressive stud. It is foolish people will pay thousands... all these fancy breeds for fancy classes... wonderful... more abuse. The saddleseat horses hav some sort of hot liquid that is burned into the neck Nd legs so they can lift there feet up higher n hold there head up high... sign... English riders are always the worst... western- your horse my horse our horse. All that matters is your horse
