Still reading that book about 50s 'Cartoon Modern' style animation and felt like trying out an original character in that style. So I whipped up a mouse out of mostly triangles, coming up with something that ... mm. I think I'm circling around a good idea here. Not there yet but this might get me to some ability to draw a mouse. Felt like it was important the tail be done with a different kind of brush instead of the technical pen used on the rest. Not sure the marker was the right choice, but having it be different was. I may revisit this, particularly with adding color or at least grey washes to the figure.
