And here's the reveal. For those who missed it, a couple days ago, I redrew the oldest designs of some of my characters without giving any name and challenged others to figure them out. Here's who you are looking at, in reading order :
1 - Eddie
Her first draft was this feline kid, who was member of a small post-apocalyptic pirate crew. That design didn't last long as I thought it looked too generic, especially compared to Eddie's crewmates. After a few years of inactivity I decided to reboot it all, making Eddie the bunny mom she is today, and the whole piracy aspect was inherited by Gray.
Could've sworn I had more artworks of old Eddie at hand but you'll have to settle for this drawing of the crew : https://imgur.com/w7Emm6L
2 - Kuru
Yup, that guy is Kuru, not Tawi. I did say looks were deceiving. From an older and grittier write of Spacecops where umbras were much, MUCH bigger assholes than today. They were purposefully made to be the stereotypical evil alien forces you'd see in old-school scifi cartoons. Conquering and enslaving all civilizations they encountered and destroying those who opposed them with extreme prejudice. All umbras had the same "Tawi" shape and looked even more like nazis. They even had magic powers, which I confiscated since they were OP enough, to later give them to the Garrus. Forgot Kuru's old name, but as you'd expect, it started with a Z.

3 - Pagola
Used to be a human-artana hybrid. Artanas were totaly different back then. The idea was that their species was made of genderless creatures that could reproduce and make artana-hybrids out of of all living things, with the goal of converting all life in the universe to achieve peace. Naturally they were sort of a hivemind with some of them being more open-minded about their goal. Pagola was one of them, respecting one's choice to not be "absorbed" into her species, even though she still believed it was the right thing to do. That concept felt too "big" for the Spacecops setting, and the look of the artanas felt too demonic and evil, which was redundant since you also had umbras on the other side.

4 - Kit
A tough guess. This is from an even earlier, grittier stage of Spacecops, where space wasn't even there. The setting was taking place exclusively on Earth, in a dystopian future on the brink of WWIII. Kit's name was actually Willian (nicknamed Willy by his relatives) and he used his status and advantages of being a cop to help rebels on secret ops against the government. He would later become a mercenary during the war and this is where I stopped working on this setting because of my studies. I unfortunately lost all drawing of Willy I had from back then.
5 - Nekkid
The one and only. The buny that made me start drawing bunies... and it wasn't even made by me. Won Bin, a good friend from middle school, wanted to include an animal-me in a drawing he was making. I didn't have any idea so I just said "draw whatever you like and we'll pretend it's me", resulting in this bad motherfucker. I loved it and started drawing him aswell, coloring his costume red, which ended up looking more like pajamas but whatever. Crazy to think Nekkid could've been a fucking platypus or whatever Won Bin would've initially drew. I guess this is what got me into the furry community aswell. Thanks bitch.
Won Bin's drawing, which I kept : https://imgur.com/PvKRims
6 - Niels
By far the easiest guess of them all. Very few has changed besides visuals. Niels was a female bunny named Edwige. Nothing much else can be said about her that can't be said about Niels, except her Russian nationality and size manipulation not being her main field of expertise.
7 - Dex
Still as grumpy and severe as always. This was from back when Spacecops was more like Futurama, focusing on parodying sci-fi rather than having a concrete lore attached to it. This meant there were as many alien species hanging around as you can imagine, along with anthro animals and creatures, thus Dex being a dragon.
Bonus sketch, from even before Dex was created : https://imgur.com/mm766NK
8 - Alamo
Back when Vulture wasn't taking place in a post-collapse America but an outright post-nuclear one (did I mention my older works were gritty ?), Alamo was bearing the codename of "Driver" and had the same ideals and ambition of dismantling and dividing what was left of the country to allow herself and her army to lead its people with an iron but fair fist. Despite looking so different, her jaw is still fucked up. Poor girl.
Her evil masked villain appearance looked too generic to me so I gave her the evil cyborg villain appearance instead. Still generic, but much cooler.
9 - Sy
The oldest and wildest one. This is from back when I was still drawing stick figures ffs. I had this big collaborative comic project I created in middle school, where me and the class would write and draw a huge story throughout our school years, both based on real events from the time and fiction. Most of it was improvized, and as expected, the result was fucking bonkers and made us the stars of the school. The story was even passed through blogs around the country. Anyway, this gal was a huge fan of dragons, and wanted me to add some in the story. I was looking for a design for those robot cops I was working on and went "fuck it".
And voila. In the story, these American-made robot police dragons were sent to France to help pacify riots and fight Al-Qaeda (don't ask). Their programming turned out to have been tampered with by the government to make them incredibly violent and racist (don't ask) and it'd be found out later they were made using alien materials from Mars (don't ask) as part of a grand scheme made by an army of Satanists to set the world on fire (don't ask). Also, a typo in their lines of code made them gay.
So yeah, I later recycled all this to make Sy MK.I. Defective police robot with no boundaries whatsoever.
I stil have the comic, though we're talking about hundreds of pages here. No way I'm scanning all this. Have some samples of Sy's ancestors still : https://imgur.com/a/7SpyffO
