Um, ok then. Rosie finds her happy place from going back to those innocent times as a baby, and because Mitzi allowed her to find that happy place by assuming the role of a caretaker, Rosie offers the baby treatment back so Mitzi can feel that same happiness. The story makes it clear they both enjoy themselves and appreciate each other’s company, so I’m failing to see what your problem is.
