When I was in Perth, I brought a good children storybook, which originated from Italy, named Geronimo Stilton. It's about the exciting life and adventure of an anthro mouse called Geronimo Stilton (left), who an editor of the local newspaper The Rodent's Gazette; and there's his cousin Trap Stilton (left two), an awful joker; Geronimo's sister Thea Stilton (right two), the special correspondent at The Rodent's Gazette; and his beloved nephew Benjamin Stilton (right) :)
like this children storybook not only because of the storyline, but also drawn by an illustrator named Larry Keys, whose drawings attract my attention the most. It's a really beautiful series. Especially the illustrations as you say. Have you seen the Valentine's Day book with Cheesy Lou Sweetsnout the country singer? Very cute.
Larry Keys' illustrations certainly are awesome. And he has a great sense for character design. There are so many characters in the books and they all look like who they are. That's not such an easy thing to do without resorting to superhero costumery and such.
