Finished, if you can call it that.
Though it wasn't my intent, I tipped my paw when it comes to the 3 stages of how I draw.
I don't use geometrical polygons or other pre-staging stuff, which is basically why there's no fun stuff like background or dynamic poses or even simple expressions involving parted jaws or panting etc.
Believe me, I'm working to change it. I've really started to like doing this and I'm getting bored and frustrated being stuck in the bust zone. Being a drunk it's slow going, yet if I survive enough tomorrows I think I'll break out of it eventually.
If anyone has any suggestions to help that happen faster I'm open. I really don't do well with books or YouTube yet maybe I haven't found the right things...?

Your persistence is something to admire. Persistence is something that many artists don't really learn until much later.
Yeah, I know it can get boring repeating the same/similar drawing over and over for several months. I was in that situation myself four years back.
What you can do is to try to improve something with each new drawing attempt. Just pick one thing you want to improve over your previous attempt and try make it happen. Maybe you want to give the ears a different shape, or position eyes differently, or maybe a different way to do fur texture. Experiment and have fun with it. And dont worry if it takes time, it's all part of the process of learning art.
Cute fox BTW, I think you are doing a lot better than you think.

Thanks for that. Sometimes I look at a ref and get frustrated because I feel I should be able to create that in my own way...when I can't I lose faith in myself. Sometimes it's tough because as someone who used to try and write my mind can't reconcile the starkness between the image of a written line and a drawn one.
Appreciate the advice. Promising I won't give up wouldn't be right, if only because I don't know tomorrow, yet I've got some hope.
Some small change here or there...I'll be thinking about that next time.
