There is something about old metal minis. They have a certain charm. Don't get me wrong, the new sculpts have some nice detail, but some of the older ones...

I miss the feel of the old lead/pewter figures. Lead was sturdy but soft, and pewter held its detail but was rough on tools.

On the other hand, plastic has made everything simpler.

Agreed, but there is something about the metal minis. I still have several, and I've been picking up older sculpts from secondhand shops lately, part from nostalgia and part from ... well ... saving money...
