What happened?

just guilty of having perfectly normal beliefs that have been redefined and prohibited under recent additions to FA's COC...i posted a journal saying it would be nice being able to discuss politics and other controversial topics here again, cuz that was something FA used to permit (and proceeded to list all the things that i would like to be able to discuss freely, but are prohibited in a heavy handed, knee-jerk, overly broad way thanks to COC 2.7 & 2.8)

well it turns out listing things you arent allowed to say tends to get the admin's attention, cuz they suspended my account and took that journal down. i thought i was gonna be gone for a month but somehow i got my account back after just 7 days, so meh, guess thats something, but if i commit one more thoughtcrime here they say i'll be permabanned (their escalation system is total bullshit too, if they enforced the rules equally this wouldent be a thing...its like COC 2.7 & 2.8 are all the admins give a shit about now)

idk, this site openly discriminates and censors people who are on the conservative side of the political spectrum, like this isnt even a conspiracy, they'll shut groups down, ban people, take artwork and journals down, etc...right in your face and claim you violated 2.7 or 2.8...pretty easy to subjugate and oppress people when you redefine what they believe as hateful and/or misinformation (this tactic is something fascists to BTW)

nearly got permabanned for posting a journal criticizing the lack of free speech on FA if you lean to the right of the political spectrum (the journal addressed a lot of the crap COC 2.7 & 2.8 deal with...and as it turns out, you cant even mention the things those two rules prohibit without getting punished apparently!) was gone for 7 days before being allowed to get my account back (was supposed to be a month so i guess thats something XD)

i dont really want to leave FA either since the other furry sites are obviously not as big, and not everybody is willing to have multiple accounts across the various furry platforms XD but yeah...im a pretty outspoken person and have always been into political topics/current events...not being able to express myself this way simply due to the fact that im conservative is just unacceptable, its discrimination under the guise of fighting "hate" and "misinformation" and everybody knows it...they just cant say it without having the admins give you a spanking.

Yeah, being conservative is perfectly ok, everything is going so far left at the moment it's absurd... Are other furry sites better about freedom of speech? Like Weasyl, Sofurry, Inkbunny, what else are alternative furry art websites? Deviantart?

thankies ^^ ideas are nice but i dont seem to be able to draw them out like i used to ^^; sketches are something but idk, am hoping i can get myself to draw properly more often, but if i do, it might be on a site that isnt as discriminatory and oppressive as FA is becoming (course such a site probably doesnt exist online in the 2020s, but yeah...am probably gonna get my ass banned here for some stupid thoughtcrime if things keep going the way they are)

groupthink seems to be an ever growing, popular concept in every western democratic nation right now...this is something that should worry people. i dont want to be alive to witness the fall of western democracy...if it falls then im gonna fall with it, cuz life under a system like CCP China isnt really worth living

I know how you feel. I stopped using DeviantART altogether when they changed their layout (seriously, what was so wrong about the layout the site had had for the last ten years?!) and made some really bullshit changes to the site's blocking system; used to be that if someone blocked you, you could still go to their profile, you just couldn't fav, comment, or watch. Essentially the same restrictions as if you weren't logged in. Now you can't even look at their profile, just one big obnoxious BLOCKED screen... which I can get around by logging out of my account, thus rendering the change completely pointless.

oh hell i would NEVER do that! thats one of the shittiest thing an artist could ever do and i lose SOOOOO much respect for people who do crap like that >.< if i ever do abandon my FA it'll be left completely alone the way it was the day i left XD at least...unless the admins block access to my page...which has happened to some of the conservative themed groups around here D=

yeah DA was the first site i decided to abandon, and you're right, the layout was like 95% to blame...i cant believe they decided to keep that, not sure how anybody manages to use the site now (unless they never used the site before the layout change XD)
