Rienkosh is a kalashtar monk hailing from distant lands from the world of Talon. The exact history of kalashtar is difficult to parse – their origin was already a result of an unclear, extraplanar phenomenon and the gradual wiping out of their race from various dark threats only compounds the issue. What little is known is that kalashtar are ‘two’ – the physical humanoid body that exists in the flesh, and the ethereal, invisible spirit bound to them.

This monk in question is no different. While kalashtar are notorious for their kind yet distant personalities, Rienkosh takes that reputation a little more… extremely. While happy to help and assist with his ki-powered healing and extensive medical knowledge while protecting with his fists and monk-trained combat fighting, he’s more than a little ‘aloof’, seemingly existing in a different world of his own that no one else is privy to.

At least he’s a useful ally in a fight – leaping around the battlefield to tend to his comrades in between knocking out priority targets. It sure would be nice if he could find the time to explain what a gurglesnatcher is– and what exactly his spirit sending ‘colours’ to him means.

Rienkosh the Kalashtar Monk is my DnD character. He has been a challenge at times to play but I’ve highly enjoyed it! I can literally talk about Rienkosh and by extension DnD all day it’s really become one of my hyperfocuses outside of writing! Shout out to my other party members and DM that I won’t list all out here for brevity but you know who you are.
