I've always thought about doing the thursday prompt here on FA, but I always decide against it too, due to the fact that I've got two Thursday Prompts in the blogging community I work on. Awesome work with this one! And as for strong themes of death in writing, I'm reminded of a Patti Smith Quote, "Why must not death be redefined?"

Ah yes death redefined, I see so many people around me that deeply fear death and deal with it by forcefully declaring they have no fear of it then going out of their way to pretend it will never happen. Maybe this is why I feel the strong need to write of it so often...
I was actually thinking about joining one of those writing sites your on, but I don't write or have any training in any of the traditional styles and not sure if I want to learn how to. I really enjoy my own whatever style.

The people around me just tend to avoid the topic altogether. I always think the people who say they don't fear death are in the same relation as the people who say, one man is an island (or rock, I can't remember, but it deals with living life without a mate). There's always an interesting connection there I think.
You don't have to have a certain style to be a part of poetry communities. Everyone respects the fact that we all have our own style and our own way of writing. The only reason I'm taking in some different styles is to experiment a bit . If you're really looking for a supporting community, Poets United is the best place, in my opinion. Again, everyone is respectful of each other, and very nice (I don't believe I've encountered any negativity from the bloggers there). Let me know if your interested, if not, its cool. I understand. =)

Cool, man! I'll leave the site link below so you can take a look around and see how you like it. The second link is for if you would like to join the website (there's no real application, just tell Robert, the creator of the site, in the comments section you would like to join and he'll help you the best he can (may take a few hours for him to respond, one man tending a growing site, lol, but he will make point to help out.) =) I think you'll really enjoy it!
