Trailing by just one point entering the last race of the season, Gunnar Thorvaldsson had to race his heart out to fend off his rival Cassandra Ouellet. Meanwhile Ouellet, whom was on top of the championship points for most of the season, had the pressure of maintaining her place at the top all the way to the end. However by the time the checkered flag waved, Gunnar Thorvaldsson earned enough points above Ouellet to earn his first championship for Furmula One, winning by just two points!

Fun fact: Gunnar had to carry his entire team, Scaletrix, throughout the season. Despite his teammate not being able to earn any points at all this season, Scaletrix still managed to finish 6th of 10th in the Constructors' Championship, a mighty achievement when all the other teams had both their respective drivers earning points.
