Find Me On:
Fur Affinity ◈ Weasyl Lord Diomoloch, the Fallen One, a powerful lich I may use as a villainsona/recurring villain for the Geoterra lore. He resides in a stereotypical sinister castle/mausoleum/evil chapel on a hill deep within a cursed necropolis nestled in a cursed forest that is home to innumerable undead monsters--I suppose this region is basically Hades, but if it were possible to visit Hades if your idea of a vacation included haunted forests, graveyards, and probably having your flesh eaten by ghouls while ghosts suck your life force away.
Also, he may or may not be a Lucifer, but that skull clearly came from one regardless of how he got his wicked hands on it... And I haven't decided what, if any, relationship he has to Nekranatos, the Reaper I seem to draw once every other year as I can never seem to settle on a design I like for him. Perhaps Diomoloch was the first (or only) one to be badass enough to try to fight Death himself and actually succeed in defeating him, and was "rewarded" with his lich form as a result? Or, like a lot of other things in-universe I need more time to figure out, I can just sorta blame Diomoloch's existence on Lucifer Dominicus somehow.
As for the name, I combined "Dios" (a Greek root meaning "Zeus", or more loosely, "god") and "Moloch", a demon/diety associated with death and sacrifice--it just seemed fitting, and I like the look and sound of the name, and I could reasonably see it being mispronounced/misheard just poorly enough to sorta fit with the "Lord Dominic" brand I've created for myself the past decade or so.Posted using PostyBirb

Funny you should mention that--on my last drawing of him, I was having a semi-interesting discussion with someone (it started out as roleplay-posting about hugging him, oddly enough), who for some reason randomly decided to hide all the comments, unfave, and unwatch me. While I chalk this up to furries being weirdos, it is quite odd, and something I might be able to work into Diomoloch's backstory if I really wanted to, being abandoned/betrayed by a potential friend.
That or since the comments say [deleted] instead of Comment hidden by its Author, maybe the guy got b& or something. Who knows?
We never did establish just what hugging him would feel like, though--being some sort of undead monster I kinda doubt he offers the same warm, cuddly hugging experience as your typical "fat fur" character, and would be more akin to hugging a furry beanbag chair. Kinda cool to the touch, and heavy, yet soft.

It definitely is fun to play with "demonic" type characters, both for their supernatural aspects, and for exploring the Dark Side a bit. I feel like I could use this guy to explore some darker themes and some art things I am sort of tempted to try ("vore" comes to mind as an "I don't really care for this, but might want to try drawing it once out of curiosity" thing that Diomoloch would be compatible with) but I also feel like he'd just become some sort of recurring Big Bad, the main villain of the story who is often thwarted but never defeated outright no matter how many times his goons fail, his pet monsters are vanquished, and his plots are foiled.
