I approached 
thumbclawz a while ago about getting my character Shuki done in one of his gem series pics. Since he only does one character per gem I was very happy that Tanzanite was not taken! It's my favourite stone as its beautiful hues can vary from delicate lilac to deep blue. It has deep personal significance to me as well as it's the gem in my engagement ring <3
Was hesitant about uploading this, but I wanted to share so text watermarks were added as I really don't want anyone using it as a 'reference' for their own character etc. Please do not repost or steal. :)

Oh absolutely. I've wanted a piece of art from him for a long time and when he accepted my commission I was delighted. It definitely means a lot since the rock has a bit of sentimental value.
He said himself it was one of his faves as well so I hope working on this piece was enjoyable for him. Definitely one of the best of the series in my biased opinion. xD

Hahahaha~ we are both a bit biased then. I did love most of his gem characters though, he's one of my favourite artists on FA. I lvoe how he keeps animal or insect features on his characters more than a lot of FA does. Specially love his character Zeph. I am sure he enjoyed doing this commission if he said it was one of his faves too :)!
