For fun I decided to edit a real official image of Peridot and turn her into a Pearl version of herself.....then a bit later I decided to double the image and modify the other into a Peridot version of Pearl, and thus I created Peri Pearls !! I then asked my good friend shadow2007x https://www.furaffinity.net/user/shadow2007x to give the image some shadow and shine to help give it the zing it deserves, I hope you like it.

With Steven off exploring the world, less exciting things happen in Little Homeworld, so to shake things up a bit, Peridot decided to work on a technological project for the first time in quite some time, but she'd gotten a little rusty in her years of practicing agriculture and decided to seek out some help from Pearl who she has since stopped treating like her inferior (at least no more then she normally does so to everyone else) and asked for her assistance in making a wholly unique device that has never been conceived by Gems before, one that intrigued Pearl enough to agree working with the angry little slice of pie.

For several weeks the pair worked in tandem to gather the materials for and create a device that sense Gems around it and allow them to fuse while still remaining individuals, with hope to show it to Garnet and allow her to exist as Ruby Sapphire and Sapphire Ruby at the same time and after months of hard work, the pair finished.....The Gem Fusion Materializer, the only thing left to do was test it.

Peridot told Pearl her services were no longer required as Peridot started to leave to go get Lapis to fuse with her to test it, Pearl got mad at Peridot for the first time this whole project "I thought you'd changed!!" she shouted at Peridot, "I thought you no longer saw me with discontent!! I guess I was a fool to think you'd ever grow up!!" Peridot stopped in her tracks when she realized she'd done something wrong as she turned to Pearl and tried to explain herself, only for a flustered Pearl to shut her words out and kick their invention out of frustration as it suddenly activated and began to glow and bath them both in its radiant light as it forced their hologram bodies to rapidly change.

When the transformation was complete, both of them were now the very first Pearl Peridot fusions in existence, they both looked alike save for changes in their colors and in an instant like regular fusion, they both suddenly understood how the other thought and felt since they were now essentially the same being but existing as two separate entities, and with the natural understanding of how Peridot and Pearl truly felt, they both forgave each other on the spot and considered their invention a success.....until they turned it off and still remained the way they were.

There never was any plan to make the effect of the Gem Fusion Materializer permanent or at the very least make it reversible, but both of them tried to change back to normal but despite their shared increase in intelligence, they couldn't figure out a way to change, and even a more daunting problem occurred, the device itself transformed with them, now the device which was originally composed of minerals from all known gem types had altered to be made out of just Peridot with a Pearl core, meaning if any other gem got near their invention, they too would turn into Peri-Pearls, but the on the spot naming of their new form felt right to both of them, and the more both Peri-Pearls thought about it, they started to think of their invention as less of a failure and more of a unintended miracle.

For the next several weeks both Peri-Pearls shared the ways their invention could be share, but more over, they spent the majority of the time praising themselves for their genius which is the Peridot portion while being complementive and thinking of the useful ways they could benefit gem kind, that part of them is Pearl and they both loved being their new selves, and as soon as the Gem Fusion Materializer if fixed is modified to give off a wider shapeshifting field radius, everyone else in beach city, Gem and Human alike will get to see how wonderful it is to be a Peri-Pearl too!! The end?
