Really, our valiant Bat Wrestler Ganzorig is very brave and fearless to the point of not being intimidated by the powerful opponent ! On the other hand I also admire Purgnak's strength and pride and I have to admit that he really does look manly, virile and incredibly imposing and majestic with a massively muscular and broad-shouldered body like a mighty four-armed Red Dragon Man ! He's really damn sexy ! It is a pity that we end up liking the wrong people but the heart is completely blind anyway and ends up getting fond of even the bad guys !
Well that's the tremendous amount of consideration I usually apply when making these characters and stories in the first place! Awesome to see you taking all this into consideration!! But it's also completely acceptable to love everyone involved for all their unique traits!!
Definitely a huge part of the reason why I dropped the original "slave/gladiator" premise. I love saturday morning cartoons, and love bad guy characters—so I decided, "why not make it so they're not really bad, that way you don't have to feel bad or conflicted about loving them?"
I certainly approve of your description of Purgnak though, pretty accurate and appealing stuff buddy!

Really! I really liked all the characters in his webcomic and to see that even the villain in the story had a valid and fair motivation to be the way he was! Purgnak was not just a stereotyped "evil guy" he was in fact an immensely strong, secure and dignified warrior, proud of his own strength and power.
I also really liked those cartoons with big muscular guys from the 90s. Extreme Dinosaurs , Street Sharks , Biker Mice from Mars , Captain Simian & the Space Monkeys , Gargoyles , Mighty Ducks: The Animated Series , Wild.C.A.T.S. I love cartoons that have super muscular big guys. To me every superhero team should have an impossibly muscular big guy who is also all-hearted and the jack for all trades of the group.
I'm really glad that you knew how to characterize the characters in your adventure so that both sides were left with fair and dignified motivations to be the way they are and to act the way they do. I loved Ganzorig, Hurk and Purgnak and hope to see them again in some new future story.
