Since the last bunch of sketches had a relative success I thought it could be good to keep experimenting that way.

These are a few studies from my A4 sketchbook. The concept was to mix certain characteristics of pterosaurs with those of the conventional western dragon. I used the wing and skull structure, the large crests and overall proportions of pterosaurs while keeping the scaley appearance of dragons and their hexapod anatomy.

It's still not quite good, but I'm having a lot of fun with this idea :)
