Exactly! In fact, I think "Donkey" mentioned something about being traded for some magic beans, so this fits perfectly. (Maybe he even set this up for revenge!) I am writing a multi-chapter story about "Dragon"'s live prior to the movie, which is in my gallery here, which you might find it entertaining.
Never forget, she was originally going to have a much bigger role in the second movie. As a pregnant pegasus.

That never went beyond the story board, and was omitted to keep the film shorter, (though a shame this wasn't made though and included in a later "director's cut"). Even the ending with her kids was added at the last minute mainly because the pre-release test audience was very disappointed that Dragon wasn't included in the film. The producers apparently didn't realize how popular her character actually was. I am surprised they stopped the Shrek franchise when they did. It could easily become a top TV series.
