I better say that I don't fully understand what's happening here. It's a random scene that Johnny has asked me to draw, but I have the feeling that in fact it may relate to a complicated story. However, it's pretty clear that the lady on the right, Gretchen, isn't indifferent to Dean's problems.
I like her. She may remind you of Miss Kitty from The Great Mouse Detective movie, and that's not an accidental coincidence: considering that both Miss Kitty and Gretchen have somethig similar in their jobs and, maybe, in the way of life, I think Gretchen's image was partly inspired by this character.
