Did I need a unicorn OC? No. Do I have one now? Yes.
Iris actually came to me in a dream. She was the only one that could use magic on a hyper-capitalsit, megacorporation, dystopian space station. Which is an unusual setting for a unicorn but I kind of dig it. Sci-fi magical girl unicorn. Yes. She found a self-aware AI, named 0N10N (and yes he totally goes by Onion) who was about to be terminated and saved his (ungrateful) life. Then she fled to Earth in a hotwired escape pod.
Her magic is extremely sparkly and rainbow, naturally. Despite growing up on the streets and being tough as nails, she's hopeful and optimistic to a fault. Clever and resourceful. Loves classic animated moves. She's athletic but also a bit clumsy. Her horn is transparent, like glass, and despite bonking it into basically everything, it apparently cannot be broken. It's also pretty sharp so like... watch out.
She's ace but currently in a platonic relationship with Mialee, an alien. Mialee tolerates Iris' spontaneous rainbows, and Iris puts up with Mialee taking apart the appliances.
