Reference sheet for Gum! Another precious boy of mine

Gum" is the English translation of his name, used in the states since the Russian translation is strange to some people. But it's grown on him and he tends to like it more. He is a transfer student from Russia who now attends college. He speaks in slightly broken english with an accent. At the moment, he doesn't really know what he wants to study, but his favorite classes are biology and film. However... his interest in biology is simply because "book have pictures" Film on the other hand takes up most of his attention, he's always enjoyed photography and after moving to the states, became interested in film. Sadly Gum's camera work is sub par, he's shaky and gets distracted easily but his professor (a 4'2 sphynx cat named Frankie) insists he keep at it simply because he's envious of Gum's height and his supposed ability to get certain angles from up high. Gum does have one skill, he's great at hearing and honestly works better holding a boom mic
Gum quickly befriends Tax, seeing his lazy chill personality as charming, and the two have a dynamic to that of an older rugged and younger more innocent pair of brothers
