Ragu Ragu was an aquatic monster Vega Beast who saw action in Ep.67 of the Grendizer Anime, been the 72nd Monster by order of Appearance, and was one of two to have fought the title Mecha, partnered with Ibu Ibu. It was the more principle of the two, as Ragu was piloted by Minister Zuril in the second fight against Grendizer, who was sporting a new submersible for this far deeper sea dive confrontation: the Ultra Submarine. Ragu and Ibu would be the last Monster Team Up in the series.

Ragu Ragu resembles a Medusa, but having red arms that ended in red and orange claws for hands, with a red/green/pink humanoid head, bat like ears with small yellow antenna on top; it sport 4 thick and 9 thinner gray/lavender tentacles that release a powerful Electric attack.

After been informed of the latest events, an angry King Vega demands from Gandal and Zuril action to attack, even recommending leading all missions from the Skull Moon Base, but Zuril rejects this out of pride and launches a barrage of Bombs strap to balloons to the Space Observatory; in response, the Spazers are launched and destroy the Balloons and the Pod launching them, but a Vega Submersible Carrier emerges, launching Midifos, part of the fleet been dispose of in a dogfight; Grendizer appears to provide assistance getting rid of the rest, and the Carrier Submerges. Grendizer and Marine Spazer unite to go after it and destroy the Carrier with Marine Missiles and Hand beam, but are surprise by Ragu Ragu and Ibu Ibu who attack; Ragu holding onto it releasing a discharge as Ibu attempts a ram attack; Hikaru fires Marine cutter releasing Grendizer from Ragu as Ibu rams onto it in time for the heroes to escape. King Vega demands they follow to attack it, but Zuril opposes, as all means to destroy it lies in dragging Grendizer into the far depths. The villains then begin to fire a missile barrage this time at their Base; Having deduce their tactic, Umon informs he is been developing a new Vehicle for Grendizer (the Ultra Submarine) but recommends to hold any response, to the shock of the Team.

As more missiles keep coming down, Koji and Maria take the initiative and attack the Launch site, destroying it, but Koji is caught by Ragu Ragu and dragged under, taken prisoner. Later, Zuril makes his call demanding Grendizer to be Surrender, under threat of Koji's execution, but overhearing the true nature of the site, Koji attacks and send message to Grendizer, but is knocked out by Gandal, then taken to prison, with Zuril reminding the General the real Base is at the depth Grendizer can not reach, and this time the Minister takes charge of the mission personally. Umon learning from Koji's message and real depth, the new vehicle is capable for a far greater depth and gives the mission a go.

The Team flies to the site and Grendizer boards the Ultra Submarine as Zuril, piloting Ragu, leads the attack with the Beasts; Marine Spazer recovers the Double Spazer and Grendizer fires at the fake base, then continues his dive, bypasses a stunned Minister Zuril and Monsters; as Grendizer destroys (I AM NOT JOKING) an Explosive Bubble defense System (FUCKING BUBBLES) breaks into the Base itself, forcing General Gandal and the Army to evac the flooding facility towards Skull Moon Base; Duke rescues Koji and the two escape, destroying the Underwater Base with Submarine missiles, but are attacked by Ragu, Ibu and Zuril (the Minister seeking revenge for the destruction of his Base).

Zuril/Ragu hold tight to Grendizer and his Ultra Submarine, as Ibu uses its drill Spikes to break through the Shield, wanting the water pressure to destroy them, but Duke fires Submarine Storm (a Whirlpool of Water stream) pushing Ibu away, then dashes onto it with Zuril/Ragu holding on, smashing them onto the second Beast, the electric feedback zapping them both and freeing Grendizer; Duke fires Submarine Missiles and Destroys Ragu Ragu, then grabs Ibu Ibu with Chains and the Mecha takes drags in onto the surface, tossing it in the air; as Ibu comes down, Grendizer disposes of it with Double Harken, cutting it in half, the remains exploding underwater.

As the heroes return from a major victory, Zuril, alive, on top the floating head of Ragu, promises to not return to the Skull Moon Base until he has finished eliminating Grendizer. His ship, the Queen Spazer, appears to collect him.
