If I'm going to draw any flat characters, I have to practice with some of the iconic flat ones. Here's Tom, after swallowing that surfboard, from the Chuck Jones-produced Surf-Bored Cat. I traced key bits of his head and hands off a frozen frame from the original short, which is why it looks like someone who's at least seen Tom drew this.
