Are bunnies easy to care for? I've been meaning to look into getting one

Well, they're more needy than rats, that's for sure. You have to have hay for them, pellets, and you have to introduce them to new kinds of veggies, and avoid giving them certain foods of course. And you need to let them run around the house sometimes because they are very curious and love to explore, and they need the exercise.
They're much easier than a dog, but a little harder than a cat to take care of. But unlike a cat they're usually very loving and cuddly if you raise them right. :3

I had a kitten but my dad wasn't letting me care for it properly so I had to give it away so that it would be in a good place x-x

Yeah if you have some care issues a rat might be best, very affordable and they eat practically anything. They'll be your best friend too :3
