Trust me, I've learned the hard way how difficult it is to make a name for yourself. Whether you're an artist, a writer or even a music producer, you'll always be surrounded by competition.

Everyone in the creative industries is striving to be the best they can possibly be. The problem is that, with so much competition out there, the creative industries are saturated with high-quality work. And so, in order to succeed, there are three things you need:

1) Years of hard work and experience
2) A unique edge which defines your work
3) Fruitful connections with other people

These three things can be tricky to accumulate, but it can happen as long as you prepare yourself for both the best and the worst. That's all I can say for now.
